11. Troubleshooting

Sometimes things don’t work out the way we expected them to. That’s okay, it happen to all of us!
We’ve included this section to answer the questions we get asked the most. Yours wasn’t included in the video? Check out the FAQ section of this manual, where we answer questions more in depth.

Is there any component missing from your order? Double-check in our Package Contents Section. If something is missing, please contact us!

While we do our best to make sure your order is put together and delivered correctly, mistakes can happen. If you received the wrong power chord, but want to get started right away, the fastest method would be to purchase one (for example you could a C13 cable from Amazon or at a local store).
But please do contact us if your order is incomplete!

Here is a short overview of all the steps:
1. Apply the two connection screws at the top machine and on the brain
2. Attach the metal cables (carabiners) to the screws
3. Hang the included door hook on the top of any standard-sized door frame and hook in your device
4. Adjust the height to your preference

If it seems like only half of the LEDs are lighting up, you’re most likely in the NIR setting.
NIR light (near-infrared light) is not visible to the human eye.
To check on which setting you are in, check the green indication mark below the timer display.

(R) – green indication light on the left lights up
(NIR) – green indication light on the right lights up
(R/NIR) – both green indication lights light up

In this case, you might have overdosed*.
If you are new to RLT, it’s best to start slow and keep consistency. 10mins max, combined mode (can switch to red mode only when sensitive), 6inches or 15cm distance (if this is too much decline from that point and work your way up)

And don’t forget to stay hydrated! (also counteracts overdosing)

*While exposure to red light is completely safe, you can overdose on red light. In this case you might feel dizzy, as your body is not yet used to red light exposure, or you might have overdone your session. (We recommend session between 5-20 minutes long, starting with shorter sessions and adjusting slowly to longer sessions.)

To use the pulsing function (we call it “Brain Boost”), do as following:
Press the “Start/pulse/pause” button once to start your session
Press the same button again to activate pulsing
Press the button again to stop/pause your session

Unlike the Luminousred Pro Series, you cannot connect your device to other Luminousred devices.
