First and foremost, the perfect dosage is the one that best suits your lifestyle! To find the right dosage for you, we’ve developed a short and simple questionnaire (it only takes a minute, we promise!).


What do you want from PBM?
Research points to numerous benefits of red light therapy. The most important ones are skin health, hormonal health, hair growth, less pain, less inflammation, cellular health and better circulation. Depending on what your “goal” is, there are different treatment areas and protocols you should follow.

How do I find my correct dosage?
This is one of the most frequently asked questions: How long and within what scope should I plan my session? The good news is: Using red light is completely safe, so there isn’t necessarily a “wrong” or “right” way when it comes to your safety. However, you can get too much (an overdose) of red light, but you can also get too little red light. Both result in you not experiencing any of the benefits of red light. But how do you know when you’ve had enough?
The following formula is used to calculate the dosage:

Dose (in J/cm2) = power density (in mW/cm2) x time (in seconds) x 0.001
