Research suggests numerous benefits of red-light therapy. The main ones are skin health, hormonal health, hair growth, less pain, less inflammation, cellular health, and better circulation. Now depending on what your “goal” is, there are different treatment areas and protocols you should follow.
How do I find my correct dosage?
This is one of our most asked questions: How long and in which setting should I plan my session?
The good news is: red light is completely safe to use, therefore is not necessarily a “wrong” or “right” way, when it comes to your safety. You can, however, get too much (an overdose) on red-light, and also not get enough red light. Both of them result in you not experiencing any of the benefits that red light has to offer. But then how do you know when you have gotten enough?
To calculate the dosage, we use this formula:
Dose (in J/cm2) = Power Density (in mW/cm2) x Time (in seconds) x 0.001
